This is J.S. Parker, in peace time widly known as "Tex Parker" and some times  "Lone Ranger Parker" and take it from me he will fight at the drop of a hat (a John B.) if you ever say any thing about his home state "Texas".

The Japanese sub (U-19 I think) that sunk the Porter was itself sunk the following day. This all occured at Santa Cruz in Sept. or Oct of 1942
